Religion & Robbery Are Synonymous in the Black Church

Religion and Robbery Are Synonymous in the Black Church

The priest said not, 'Where is the Lord?' and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also trangressed against Me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. ---Jeremiah 2:8
Therefore, thus saith the Lord God of Israel against the pastors that feed My people; 'Ye have scattered My flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the evil of your doings', saith the Lord. ---Jeremiah 23:2

For centuries, the nation of so-called black people has been pillaged by the oppressor. We were (and are) collectively despised and rejected and treated as less than human. Therefore, our oppressors gave themselves a reason for justification in their unjust and inhumane dealings with us.

Over time, we were separated from our true God and religion and given a false god and a foolish religion. A religion in which we jump around like fish out of water. Leaving the church more foolish and backward than before.

Bewitched, Belittled, and Betrayed

After all you have been through, and all you are currently going through, the last thing you want to hear as a black man and woman, is that you are under a spell. You are bewitched, belittled, and betrayed.

Yes, beloved. You are under a spell and have been for quite some time. However, ritualistic practices have intensified with time. And your bewitched condition is more pronounced. The black woman's embrace of Me Too and the whole feminist agenda, in turning away from the black man, is evidence of the sorcery's strength. And so is the black man's infatuation with other strange women and delusional hatred of the black woman.

Black History Month: Is February Significant?

The month of February is traditionally set aside in honor of Black History. It is not clear why the shortest month was chosen to celebrate the people with the broadest memoir. Nevertheless, annual efforts go into organizing often mundane gatherings that are identical in content to the year before.

When taken seriously, and studied in-depth, the thought of Black History carries a different value. It is then understood as something hallow and noteworthy. And not merely having strategically selected names thrown out to placate a group of oppressed people.

Taken from that premise, listening to this Podcast episode will thrill and even excite you beyond what you have come to know as Black History. Enjoy!
